The Birmingham Book Festival was founded in 1999 and is a Company Limited Under Guarantee (Company No. 6264124). The Festival exists to promote books, literature and related activities in Birmingham and the West Midlands. As well as running its annual book festival it also runs an extensive 'writers' in schools programme called Write On! and undertakes year round events and activities. The Birmingham Book Festival is managed by Midland Creative Projects Limited.
